Sooooo...
Here we are, with the United States about to enter Year 2 of the COVID-19 pandemic, a run that shows no sign of slowing down, thanks to the utter willful stupidity of the North American public. With such a real-life Reaper upping its score every day, how can mere works of entertainment even serve to scare us anymore? I can't answer that one, but at least I can provide looks at horror confections that will remove us from the threat of a real-world microscopic monster and instead place us firmly within the imagination's landscape of strange creatures, legendary beasts, unkillable slashers, malevolent aliens, you name it. Anything with which to escape from the real thing, even if only for a little while.
